Nacon Enters the Racing Sim Market with Revosim RS Pure – Is It Worth It?

If you're a racing enthusiast, you've probably heard of Nacon, the company behind games like TT Isle of Man and WRC Generations. But this time, they’re switching things up! They're stepping into the world of racing sim wheels with their new brand, Revosim, and their hyped-up product: RS Pure.

What Is RS Pure and Why Is Everyone Excited?

This is a complete package for sim racers, featuring three main components:

  • Wheelbase: Uses Direct Drive technology with 9Nm of torque, delivering a highly realistic force feedback experience.
  • Steering Wheel: A sporty design with customizable buttons, so you can adjust it to your preference.
  • Pedal Set: Made from aluminum, featuring Load Cell technology for accurate and responsive braking.

The Standout Feature: Your Phone as a Dashboard!

One of the coolest ideas Nacon introduced is using your smartphone as a dashboard via Bluetooth. This allows you to tweak force feedback settings and other adjustments on the fly without going through in-game menus.

First Impressions: Promising but Needs Refinement

At an exclusive event in Paris, some professional sim racers got an early hands-on experience before the official release (planned for June). Initial feedback was positive regarding the build quality and durability, but the smartphone dashboard feature wasn’t fully functional yet. Hopefully, this will be polished by launch.

Build Quality & Design

Since Nacon is stepping into the sim racing hardware market for the first time, they’re clearly aiming high. The wheelbase and pedals are made from premium materials and feel built to last. Plus, the adjustable pedal incline gives players more customization for their setup.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?

If you're a sim racing enthusiast looking for a Direct Drive wheel with modern features, the RS Pure could be an exciting option. But the big question remains: Will the smartphone dashboard work seamlessly? And will it support most racing games at launch? Time will tell!
