Bungie — the acclaimed developer behind Halo and Destiny — is bringing back its classic 1994 title Marathon, but this time with a fresh, modern take. The new Marathon is a PvP extraction shooter set in a sci-fi world filled with mystery, danger, and high-stakes survival.

The events take place on the mysterious planet Tau Ceti IV, where the inhabitants of a human colony have mysteriously vanished.
Players step into the role of "Runners", cybernetic mercenaries who explore the abandoned colony in search of wealth, secrets, and lost technology — all while facing rival teams and hostile security forces.
Players form squads of 3 and must gather loot and extract safely, or risk losing everything if eliminated by enemies or the environment.
The game’s narrative evolves based on players’ actions, creating a unique experience in every match that also influences the game’s world.
Players can choose from various Runner types, each with a distinct playstyle:
Locus – Direct combat
Blackbird – Recon and scouting
Glitch – Sabotage and rapid attacks
Void – Stealth and assassinations
Even if you fail to extract, you can still earn support and gear from in-game factions based on your performance.
Successfully extracting means keeping all your loot. Dying means losing it all — adding real tension and stakes to every mission.
