AMD Announces Prices and Availability of Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT Graphics Cards
AMD has announced the release of its new Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards, which will be available in the market starting March 6. The RX 9070 will be priced at $549, while the RX 9070 XT will come in at $599. With these new releases, AMD aims to compete with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti cards, which are marketed as excellent solutions for 4K gaming at the price of 1440p cards.

Both cards are equipped with 16GB GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit memory interface, and 64MB Infinity Cache. They support DisplayPort 2.1A and HDMI 2.1b, with the traditional 8-pin power connectors. In terms of power consumption, the RX 9070 requires 220 watts, while the RX 9070 XT consumes 304 watts.
AMD compared the performance of these two cards with the RX 7900 GRE, and the results were impressive. The RX 9070 showed an average 21% performance increase at 4K across more than 30 games, with significant improvements in ray tracing thanks to the RDNA 4 architecture. The RX 9070 XT showed that it was only 2% slower than the RTX 5070 Ti, which costs around $750.
AMD also introduced FSR 4, the next generation of frame rate enhancement technologies, utilizing artificial intelligence in RDNA 4, which will deliver improved image quality. This technology will be exclusive to the RX 9000 series and will support over 30 games at launch, with the number of supported titles expected to rise to 75 before the end of 2025.
